Any living thing, be it a bird, a tree, a child, an elderly person, or an animal, wants to feel happy. We experience pleasure and relaxation when we are happy. We believe that if heaven exists anywhere in this earth, it is right here. Every minute of our lives should and should not be devoid of happiness.
Since there is no assurance that any of us will have another life, we should make the most of this one by attempting to make others happy as well as living it to the fullest. However, in reality, the reverse occurs—in our quest for happiness, we move farther away from it. Finding happiness is a never-ending quest.
A person battles to be happy all of his life, yet he is never able to fully experience happiness.
Every person has the innate right to happiness, and we must come to understand this. Nobody on the planet does not experience grief or suffering at some point in their life. Since sorrows and problems begin at birth—which explains why even newborns cry—why do we become unsettled and depressed at the first sign of trouble? What might be the cause of this?
If you’re depressed, you ought to consider asking yourself:
1. Am I the only person who has ever felt melancholy in this world?
2. Do these perpetually joyful people never experience grief in their lives?
You will quickly realize that people are only happy because they have decided to live happy lives once you begin to think in this way. Why don’t we start leading happy lives when everyone experiences both happiness and sadness in their life?
Why does happiness disappear from life?

When we leave the house in search of happiness, begin to rely on others for happiness, or have expectations, tragedies begin to invade our lives, and happiness appears to become unsettled and disappear.
When we fail to live our own lives, we frequently make grave mistakes in life. We begin to value everything in the world more than ourselves. When we begin to live only for the happiness of others, we begin to ignore our own happiness and troubles. Then, when the same person begins to treat us cruelly and poorly, thinking we are worthless, we begin to cry and beg for his companionship.
Put another way, we hand up the key to our joy and suffering to another person. Frequently, we love someone so much that we become depressed when they are happy or sad. Other times, we become so reliant on them that we remain happy if they behave well and speak politely; however, if they act rudely, harshly, or carelessly, we become depressed and begin pleading with them to make us happy. In such cases, who is at fault? If we assign someone else the duty of making us happy, that person will do so in accordance with their needs, and if that isn’t the case, they may even make us unhappy.
Our delight is also terminated by overthinking. Even though we have little influence over most things that happen in our lives, we nevertheless ruin our minds by dwelling on them. Occasionally, we also find ourselves dwelling on past events in our lives, which we cannot alter by going back in time, but which nonetheless cast a shadow over our enjoyment in the present. In a similar vein, worrying excessively about the future is pointless as we might never experience the events that lead us to lose our enjoyment in the present. Since we can’t predict the future, why ruin the joy of the present moment?
Man’s selfishness is also putting an end to his happiness. Everyone requires respect, love, care, and the company of loved ones, but they do not give these things to one another arbitrarily. It indicates that we treat people and ourselves differently, which leads to the cessation of happiness in our lives.
Because of the nuclear family tradition, the stability and support that came with growing up in a joint family have been replaced, leaving people feeling alone, uneasy, restless, and dissatisfied.
These days, more people seem to enjoy living alone. The person begins to sink in loneliness and despair as a result of his refusal to maintain relationships with neighbors, family, and other acquaintances. In addition to ruining our relationships and mental health, envy also causes us to feel depressed for no apparent reason.
The way that people live their lives these days has also changed significantly. People are becoming more focused on monetary gains and material possessions, and as a result, they are bringing loneliness and misery into their lives by ignoring interpersonal connections and human feelings.
A pessimistic mindset keeps us from being happy. We are forced by our negative nature to find the negative aspects of every situation, which makes us unhappy and depressed. Today, ignorance is causing us to move away from happiness and, conversely, we are aimlessly seeking it out. As he travels in pursuit of happiness, man is falling prey to illnesses like despair, anxiety, and depression.
When there is no happiness, a person begins to feel as though his existence has no purpose, which makes him unhappy and depressed. As a result, he begins to physically block the path of happiness that is intended for him.

How may one achieve enduring happiness?
Everyone you see these days is looking for happiness. However, happiness is not something that can be obtained by anyone; rather, the more we look for it, the more it eludes us. So how can we make our lives happier?
By following a few easy steps, we can make our lives happier:
Firstly, we must acknowledge that, in reality, happiness is a decision that each and every one of us as individuals must make.
You have probably seen individuals who are perpetually joyful in life and others who continue to be depressed despite having no cause to be depressed. Do you believe that those who are consistently joyful are devoid of all forms of sadness?
No one on this planet is without pain in their lives, however the depth of that sorrow varies. Happier people, however, choose happiness over sadness. They contend that because life is inevitable, why not live contentedly? They are fully aware of the fact that life is a combination of happiness and misery, and because there is no way out of this emotional maze, they ask why we should spend these fleeting moments of delight by dwelling on the past. They enjoy smiling in every circumstance because they understand that while sobbing does not lessen sadness, laughing does.
2. Secondly, you will find it difficult to be happy if you are turning on other people for your happiness because you have no influence over their actions. When this happens, you will feel depressed because the other person will act in accordance with his nature rather than your happiness.
3. If the actions of others are causing you pain, you must strengthen yourself to the point where your own actions have no effect on others, no matter how good or awful.

4.Destroying happiness within might also result from expecting too much from other people. We are dissatisfied when our expectations are not met for a variety of reasons. Thus, we must anticipate happiness from ourselves alone and not from other people if we wish to be happy.
5. We ought to stay in touch with our neighbors, family, and relatives as well. Laughter and lighthearted talk cheer the atmosphere and the mind
6. A healthy lifestyle and proper routine also contribute to our happiness.
7. Assisting others makes the mind happy as well. The entire surroundings appears pleased when every animal and person in the area is content.
- All living things possess inherent goodness; all we need to do is recognize and experience this goodness, as doing so also helps to maintain mental well-being. Humans have a tendency to see only the negative aspects in other people, which makes us unhappy all the time.
- We ought to be joyful for everyone’s accomplishments and feel love for them all. This always maintains our minds at ease and content. When we are jealous, we have to pout inside and ruin our health by being depressed.
- Thinking positively makes us joyful all the time. Positive behavior allows one to see the good in every negative experience. which both maintains the individual’s happiness and enhances his personality.
- A person won’t struggle with problems if he views them as challenges that he must overcome in life. Rather, overcoming these obstacles will make him a stronger and more competent person.

Problems are challenges, and challenges are opportunities for growth in life. Once this is ingrained in our subconscious, problems will arise and we will welcome them as fresh opportunities. Life is full of challenges, of course, but we will now view them as opportunities and live a happy life for the duration of our days, even when we are facing hardships and not shedding tears or feeling regret.
13. Love yourself as much as you want to be happy. Consider the significance of your preferences as well. Make time for yourself to enjoy yourself as well. Indeed, it is important to love oneself because, in today’s world, when people run away from their relationships and families in favor of materialism, they have no one to support them or to share their joys and sorrows with. As a result, happiness can only be found in spending time with oneself.
14. Regular exercise and meditation practice contributes to our happiness and well-being.
15. Gaining new knowledge and enjoyment are two benefits of learning new things.
16. Time must be set aside for one’s interests, such as sports, music, etc. This is an excellent strategy for maintaining happiness.

The goal of human life is to be happy at all times. What is the assurance that the following generation will bear humans or animals?
